The crash took place around 8 a.m., Wednesday, April 7, in the area of 393 Thomaston Ave., in Waterbury, said Waterbury Police Department Sgt. Robert Davis.
According to Davis, the man, who was riding a motorcycle, was killed when he collided with another vehicle.
Officers arrived on the scene and rendered aid to the man, who had serious visible injuries to the head, Davis said.
The unidentified man was transported to a local area hospital where he was pronounced dead.
The driver of the other vehicle was not injured and remained on scene and has been cooperating with investigating officer at the scene.
Waterbury Police Department Crash Reconstruction Unit continues to investigate the accident to determine the cause, as well as notify the victim’s next to kin.
Motorists are asked to avoid the area of 300 to 400 Thomaston Avenue as officers conduct an investigation into the accident.
